- Hmmm.. I posted an article here the other day but I never saw any respon-
- ses, nor do I see my original article anywhere (and Portal's retention is
- longer than on other systems I've used), so I'm going to paraphrase myself
- and ask my question again, just in case my earlier posting went off into
- the ether...
-
- Does anyone know the format of the DST (Debug Symbol Table) contained in
- an executable image linked /DEBUG? I need to automate the process of
- dumping the contents of the DST, in order to produce a human-readable
- listing of the source-code file specifications present therein. I can do
- it awkwardly by using DUMP and VFE, but I have a lot of images to go
- through and they're each made up of 30 to 40 modules, so automating the pro-
- cedure would be a great advantage.
-
- DSNlink tells me that this format can be dug out of VMS source listings
- on CD-ROM, but unless one of YOU wants to supply me with that, there's not
- a snowball's chance in Hell of my getting the opportunity to look at VMS
- sources any time in the foreseeable future. I'd appreciate a direct response
- to this query in the form of information, or at least pointers to something
- accessible online on the Internet.
-
- Thanks in advance,
-
