- Hi all the helpful people who helped me,
- I am using Carl J. Lydick's com file which he both e-mailed me and
- has posted to the net. The com file was the first thing I looked at and
- easy to use. I will look at all the other solutions so as to increase
- my knowledge of VMS and VMS tools. I will especially look at the string
- search and replace solution written in C. I was planning on writing it in
- C myself thinking perhaps it would run faster? Although speed at the present
- time is not quite a problem because I am running the com file on files that
- reside on a 32 meg ram disk. I will definitely being looking at the
- editor solutions as I want to improve my efficiency at using editors on
- a VMS machine. Once again thank all of you and please know that I thank
- each and everyone of you. I am sorry I haven't posted all your names here
- but you know who you are and I am very thankful for your help. It is
- good to know that not everyone out there is a flamethrower wielding netter.
- Those of you who posted com file solutions have also added to my knowledge
- of DCL and being a big fan of com files I am very grateful.
