- first place. I believe this is because the mail count is stored in a
- different place ( SYS$SYSTEM:VMSMAIL_PROFILE.DATA) from the messages
- themselves (MAIL.MAI).

- I have thought it useful to have two users with the same SYS$LOGIN
- directory - for example a less privileged account for dial in use
- so you can read your mail but not do anything that needs CMKRNL!
- ; they share the same MAIL.MAI but different VMSMAIL_PROFILE
- entries. This does wonders for ones new mail counts ;-)
