  22. I don't know when you last used it but it *has* been drastically improved.

  24. If you have C-Kermit at both ends it will preserve VMS file attributes 
  25. with little or no extra effort on your part.  If you don't have C-Kermit at
  26. both ends you can indeed SET FILE TYPE FIXED and SET FILE BLOCK n (those
  27. may not be the exact commands but they're close).

  29. In addition it supports large packets and sliding windows.

  31. Terry Kennedy, who is sometimes seen around this newsgroup, is the person who's
  32. been doing the VMS-specific stuff in C-Kermit.  He knows what he's doing and
  33. deserves a LOT of credit for this effort.

  35. (My one remaining beef with it is that it still does TOPS-20-style command
  36. "peekahead", with no command recall; I wish there was a way to make it more
  37. VMS-ish in that one respect.  (For all I know there is, and I haven't looked in
  38. the right place in the HELP...))
