- Well, maybe now you're starting to understand the difference between INPUT and
- OUTPUT.
-

-
- And, apparently, for the version of FINGER you're using, the difference between
- SYS$OUTPUT: and TT:.
-

-
- I suspect that what you mean is "they don't handle broadcast messages." Of
- course, since, as we all know, computers work by magic, and there can't
- possibly be any rhyme or reason to their responses to user actions, there was
- absolutely no reason for you to give us an example of what you were talking
- about.

- Start by looking at the documentation you get by consulting the virtual
- grimoire via the command:
- $ HELP RTL LIB LIB$ASN_WTH_MBX

- Disclaimer: Hey, I understand VAXen and VMS. That's what I get paid for. My
- understanding of astronomy is purely at the amateur level (or below). So
- unless what I'm saying is directly related to VAX/VMS, don't hold me or my
- organization responsible for it. If it IS related to VAX/VMS, you can try to
- hold me responsible for it, but my organization had nothing to do with it.
