- Given that there have been many unix filesystems (even some that used
- all contiguous files {like RT11}) that are completely incompatible,
- I would suggest it is possible the Gnu CD is not a native unix
- file system. More likely, I would expect they would have cut an
- ISO 9660 CD, which CAN be read on VMS. You need to find F11CD
- (on the Sept. and most later ConDists) and install it; it was
- initially a separate saveset in the Infoserver directory and needs
- no extra license. Later VMS versions have this built in. You use
- a command something like
- $ cd_mount/media=cdrom device: vol-label
- to mount a CD. Works like a champ on my VAX.
