  54. Abstract: MS-DOS KERMIT contains executables and documentation for 
  55. MS-DOS KERMIT V3.12, plus a few initialization files. 
  56. MS-DOS KERMIT is a communication program which will do file 
  57. transfer and act as a terminal, emulating VT100/200/300 
  58. series terminals including Tektronix graphics emulation. 
  59. MS-DOS KERMIT will work over serial lines and can be used 
  60. with Ethernet.  A driver for MS windows is included.  It 
  61. has support for a script language and can support essential- 
  62. ly any speed the PC is capable of.  Scrollback of text, 
  63. customizable keymaps, and other functions allow it to work 
  64. very flexibly and adapt to widely varying hardware plat- 
  65. forms, even to some whose serial lines only emulate the 
  66. IBM BIOS at limited speed.

  82. into VAX files.  All IBM data types, including floating

  104. Abstract: The PQ Print Utility started out as a means to 
  105. eliminate the fixed fifty line with a ten character 
  106. left margin page format that all our company research 
  107. papers and reports were printed by.  It also provided 
  108. a better, more flexible means of printing program 
  109. generated reports. 
  110.  
  111. The PQ Print Utility provides an opportunity for users to 
  112. expand their printing capabilities on the VAX system 
  113. printers (LA100's and LN03R's currently).  Various options 
  114. were combined with the standard DCL print command giving 
  115. users the options to print in eight different character 
  116. pitches (characters/inch) and any number of VAX print forms 
  117. that format users' output with page margins.  In addition, 
  118. the PQ Print Quality allows the use of all the command 
  119. qualifiers that are available for the standard PRINT 
  120. command, but brings them all together under one easy-to-use 
  121. command which prompts the user for each item. 
  122.  
  123. Because the PQ Print Utility is summoned from the command 
  124. prompt as a command procedure, and is actually a shell to 
  125. the DCL PRINT command, it can be assigned to a symbol in a 
  126. users LOGIN.COM file.  There it can be run with selected 
  127. PQ Utility arguments via command symbol activation for even 
  128. easier convenience.

  151. Abstract: SOD is a small enhancement to the DCL directory command. 
  152. The files of a directory can be sorted alphabetically by 
  153. filetype or chronologically by date.  For the rest, SOD 
  154. behaves like the DCL command.  For example, if a file 
  155. specification (with wildcards) is given, only the desired 
  156. files are output.  Output can be directed to any device or file 
  157. and logical names are translated. 
  158.  
  159. All specifications (directory to be sorted and sorting-mode) 
  160. are made in the command line with optional qualifiers. 
  161. Default values are preset.

  181. Abstract: This utility's purpose is to convert FMS Form Description 
  182. files which have been generated via the FMS/DESCRIPTION 
  183. command to ALL-IN-1 template (boilerplate) files.  This 
  184. allows an ALL-IN-1 application programmer to either convert 
  185. existing forms into boilerplates or use the FMS editor as 
  186. a boilerplate layout tool.  Form Description files created 
  187. in any manner may or may not generate output as expected. 
  188. If a Form Description has been created in another manner, 
  189. simply create the FMS Form by using the form lanquage trans- 
  190. lator via FMS/TRANSLATE command.  Then recreate the Form 
  191. Description file.

  193. If you have forms in standard FMS files or form libraries 
  194. that you wish to process, you can use the FMS_TO_BLP_DEMO. 
  195. COM command procedure to do the necessary preprocessing and 
  196. invokation of BLPGENERATE for you.

  199. Please aware that this is not the same as field highlighting 
  200. attributes, which are not supported.

  202. This version of the BLPGENERATE utility supports FMS V2.3 or

  204. for input may be 254 lines long and 80 or 132 columns wide.

  206. to set (or limit) field sizes.
