- We tried this once just to see how it well it worked. We had assumed that we
- would have to increase some of the cluster related timing parameters, but found
- that it actually worked with all the parameters set to their default values. We
- had a small LAVC (about 6 nodes) at the time, and could detect no performance
- impact, but we only had MV II and 2000, a real CPU might notice the difference.
- We were confident that DEC would never support it, but I had heard their
- engineers state that in principal cluster could run over any transport,
- depending on what kind of performance impact you are willing to take.
