- I'm antique enough to have seen unthinkable changes in price & size &
- performance & capacity on 'computers'. 12.5 years ago when we
- installed the PDP the disc capacity at the time was considered HUGE
- (yesterday I was told that we'd 'lost' half that original disc
- capacity in format/inode information on a disc that cost one tenth of
- the cost of the original discs & is 30+ times bigger). 17 serial
- lines was considered excessive.

- Thus I am in truth hugely entertained at the thought of 'wheeling out'
- the Good Old PDP to a well deserved and respected retirement, and
- wandering in with its replacement in my briefcase :-)
