- OK, I've placed os/2 (GA + SP) on my secretaries 486/33 (8 megs, 200meg HD,
- and speedstar video). She's been complaining that the machine is horribly
- slow, prints very slowly (HPLJIII). Ya know, she's correct. So, I made all
- the changes in the FAQ, disk has 120megs free, swap file seems to be set
- correctly. Machine seems to swap constantly, if she switches from a windows
- app back to the desktop the swap can take 30 seconds. As to printing, she's
- correct as well. It takes 1.5-2 minutes to print the first page of a document.
- (Laserjet has 5 megs of memory). I've made the changes in the FAQ here as well.
- Anyone with any thoughts? (The machine runs as though it has only 4 megs of
- memory!)
