  13. If it hasn't already been requested: a decent routine to handle loading
  14. of files from the distribution diskettes after the initial installation
  15. is complete.

  17. Even Microsoft doesn't make you insert disks which are unnecessary for
  18. the requested configuration change.  The way that OS/2 works when 
  19. changing the system configuration is even worse than the old Microsoft
  20. Word installer which, if you selected several printer drivers, made you
  21. play the nimble fingered floppy flipper: at least each time you inserted
  22. a disk the setup program actually needed something from that disk.  OS/2
  23. setup seems to want to see every disk just on the off chance that it might
  24. contain something useful.

  26. And similar comments apply to the installation of a new printer: you must
  27. guess which printer driver disk contains the files for the printer you
  28. want to install.

  30. I don't have the 2.1 beta; possibly (hopefully) this has changed...please?
