  13. On my OS/2 2.1 wish list:

  15. The option of using small system fonts in 1024x768 mode. The reason I use
  16. a high resolution mode is so that I can get more information on the screen.
  17. The enormous system fonts in the SP and beta SVGA drivers don't let me do
  18. this. Reading online help is particularly difficult, since little
  19. information can fit on the screen at a given time. Since I'm 
  20. forever looking at the online API references, this is a pain.

  22. Better still, let the user choose which font to use instead of the
  23. 'system proportional' font. That way, I could view help and online
  24. information in 8pt Helv.

  27. *important* to me.

  30. Comments on the OS/2 2.1 beta:

  32. Overall, pretty good. However, I got a trap on average every 15 minutes
  33. at first. It took me a whole night to install successfully. The problem
  34. was the IBM1S506.ADD driver. 'No problem' you say, use the latest one
  35. on watson.  That wasn't any better either.

  37. I'm using the one from GA now, and only trap (usually 0d and 0e)
  38. or freeze about every 4 hours! Interestingly, the GA IBM1S506.ADD
  39. seems to be more stable on my system than the SP version.

  41. I have a 486DX-25 AMI BIOS, 16Mb RAM, Tseng SVGA and a Seagate ST3144A
  42. (IDE) 245MB, 12ms hard drive.
