  12. I tried installing the beta on a Gateway 486/33v local bus machine with ati ultra local bus video card.  The insallation process went relatively smoothly (even though selecting 8514/a did not work the first time; had to select VGA). But, I found too many problems after OS/2 came up.  I clicked on windoze clock and the icon was "marked" running but no clock showed up.  I clicked on DOS Window icon, the window opened but there was no prompt and I could not type anything.  The DOS window just sat there with a

  14.  blinking cursor on the top-left corner.  There were so many annoying things that it made OS/2 2.1b almost useless.

  16. Now, I installed the beta on a no-name 486/50 with AMI motherboard/BIOS and none of those problems showed up.  Is Gateway 2000's Local Bus video compatible with OS/2 ?
