- First of all: I have Micrografx 3.1 for OS/2 installed, and it is
- definitly shipping. (I got it through ordinary distribution channels,
- as an upgrade from previous OS/2 version.).
-
- Yes, it uses Mirrors, and it does not support long filenames with
- HPFS. In general it is very similar to the 3.1 version for Windows. I
- have not compared speed, and I do not use the application enough to
- give a solid based "free hand" evaluation of speed. But there is no
- striking difference.
-
- It comes with ca. 170 fonts. It also have a feature for aligning text
- along a line (curve). I do not remembe if that is part of the Windows
- version. (At least I have never used it with the Windows version).
-
- As I have mentioned in an earlier post, I have been told that a
- version 4.0 is not too far away, and that the 4.0 version will be a
- real OS/2 program. But I do not know. I am generally sceptical to
- promises from software vendors before they can show the actual
- program, and (based on experience) I am even more sceptical to
- information from Micrografx.
