- I recently had a problem with Win3.1 and installing a second HD.
- This is a Followup post to that problem.
-
- I have a 386 SX IBM compatible computer that has an Appian Technology
- mother board using a modified Quadtel BIOS. This is an Appian Technology
- modification and in no way reflects on the Quadtel BIOS.
- I would highly recommend against buying any products from Appian
- Technology. There is a serious bug in the Appian BIOS modification that
- prevents using a second IDE hard disk when running MS Windows as well as
- several other software packages.
- I contacted Appian Technology technical support and after getting the
- run-around for a couple of weeks, they freely admit their BIOS has bugs
- and that the programmers have since moved on to other companies. "SORRY"
-
- Their solution was quite simple.... Don't install a second HD.
- This was their solution to my problem. I imagine their attitude would be
- similar for any products they market.
-
- Dave
