- Subject: Can not get the MS-DOS prompt icon working in version 3.1
- Lines: 13
-
- I recently transfer files from two IBM PS/2 286 computers to 2 new 486SX/25
- computers. The 486SX/25s all have 4MB RAM and 110MB hard drive. After the
- Windows 3.1 files are all transfered, i reinstall Windows 3.1 again to get
- the 486SX/25s to run in enhanced mode. It now can run DOS apps in a Window,
- etc.
-
- When I double-click on the MS-DOS prompt icon in Main Program Group, I can not
- get a DOS prompt! I reinstalled Windows again, it still does not work. All
- I got is "Application Execution Error, No application is associated with the
- specified file. Create an association by using File Manager." The MS-DOS icon
- is using the PIF that comes with Windows.
