- I disagree. Trying it on my SCSI drive, the start-up time of windows
- doubles with double buffering installed. And this also reflects on all
- the other disk access. Though I do not have a 486/33, I would rather
- just try it without double buffering before hampering my system.

- I also had the rather interesting effect that installing smartdrv in
- the config.sys resulted in installation of double buffering,
- independent of setting the option.
- Only installation of smartdrv on the command line prompt (or in
- autoexec.bat) allowed me actually to choose between having
- double buffering or not having it.
- Any smart ideas why?
