- NDW2.0 patch:
- Could anyone with inside info please tell me what it does exactly? I didn't
- see any difference! If it only involves some bug fixes, I hadn't encountered
- any problem with the original 2.0.
-
- New 24X drivers (2.03):
- As far as I can tell, it only fixes the problem with WfW2.0 tool/options
- GPF problem. I still get the same GPF's when returning from DOS session in
- standard mode. Don't know about dots-on-screen problem. But, it's about 2-5%
- slower than before. I'm not saying it's such a big deal. But fact is fact.
- With my 386sx 16MHz, I need every bit of speed I can sqeeze out. As for the WfW
- problem, how often do I need to reconfigure the thing? If I do change it, I
- can always bring up the toolbar and double-click it. Poor-man's mentality. But
- the card is poor-man's dream=come-true. Just btw, does anyone know the ETS of
- the next "major" update of the drivers?
-
- So I'm waiting for someone to reveal some inside knowledge about the two things.
- Untill then, I'd suggest everyone lay back and stay with the old stuff. It may
- not worth the trouble of ftp/download/unzip/defrag-disk/get disappointed.
