-
- I admit I nearly puked a couple of times after failed sstor
- installations! There is an UPDATE function that is used to move drivers
- into the non-compressed partition if they are listed before the sstor
- drivers. Any attempts at doing this manually screws up.
-
- IMPORTANT!!! Take an evening and run the repair and defrag programs.
-
- Pull all the 386max stuff out of D: that you put there yourself. Then,
- edit your config.sys to put them before the sstor drivers. Then, run the
- UPDATE utility. This moves any drivers called before the sstor drivers into
- the uncompressed partition. This should still "point" to the right place.
- Remember, there IS no D: until the sstor drivers run, and you will go quite
- berserk trying to out-guess the system.
-
- Once you get the blasted thing running, run the repair, check, and
- defrag utilities at least once a week. Good luck!
