- DEC 425C PC, DEC Pathworks 4.1, DEC supplied windows 3.1. VMS server.
-
- I created a lad disk with all the windows files from running setup/a.
-
- Then I created another lad disk read/write, attached it, and then tried to
- run setup/n from that.
-
- It's dying and choking right at the first part of setup, with the following:
- ---
- Setup Error #S019
-
- Setup cannot create the file WIN.COM, which
- it needs to set up Windows. Setup cannot
- continue, etc. etc. ad nauseum.
- ---
-
- I can't figure out why. All the drives it's trying to access are
- writable, and I don't have any other problems with them.
-
- The only thing of note is that I'm using DEC's version of the Windows
- disks.
-
- Any help appreciated.
