- Oh geez, yeah.. don't go rushing out to find the magazine.. here's how you
- do it:
-
- 1. Open the Program Manager window
- 2. Hold down the left shift and control keys (and keep holding them)
- 3. Select HELP|ABOUT (keep holding those keys)
- 4. Double click on the yellow patch of the Windows logo in the upper left
- corner of the about screen
- 5. Click on the OK button to close the about window
- 6. Select HELP|ABOUT again (keep holding shift & ctrl)
- 7. Click on the yellow patch again -- the first "secret" goodie will appear
- 8. Say "ooh" and "aaahh"
- 9. Click on the Ok button again to close the about box (keep holding them keys
- down)
- 10. Select HELP|ABOUT a third time
- 11. Double click on the yellow patch again -- the second goodie will appear
-
- Repeat the whole sequence a couple of times to see the variations.
-
- I didn't read that article, so this may be a different secret thing than
- what they are talking about; I've heard there are more. A Mac-user, of all
- people, told me about this one last year when 3.1 was first released...
