- I use a Gateway Telepath internal modem, and it does not have a 16550. But
- from what I can tell, it must have some form of internal buffering, because I
- can open windows, play 16-bit sounds, and do other processor and bus intensive
- work without it hurling. I have yet to experience fifo overrun on my end.

- So try and reinstall PC/Plus for Win, look for the int 14 option and choose
- it. Also, remove any statement regarding comxfifo in your win or system ini
- because from what I've read here they can actually have opposite the intended
- effect.
