  25. Did you leave the uncompressed space large enough?
  26. You should have left at least 5MB uncompressed to leave room for the
  27. Windows permanent swap file.  Then before the uncompressed area gets
  28. fragmented go into Windows and create the swap file.
  29. I haven't seen version 3, but earlier versions made a default 1MB
  30. uncompressed area, just enough for the basic DOS boot files, stacker
  31. software and a few emergency utilities for if you run into problems.
  32. You can allocate more uncompressed area after installation.  Check the
  33. docs, but I think it is SDEFRAG that allows it.

  35. Version 3 may have fixed this, but previous versions wouldn't work 
  36. with a _permanent_ swap file on the compressed drive.  
  37. A temporary swap file works fine on either drive.

  39. I'm using the terms uncompressed and compressed drive because C: and D:
  40. become ambiguous when you are using SSWAP.
