- I talked with someone at Datastorm a couple of days ago about problems I've
- been having with Windows hanging when I try to transfer files at high speeds
- (38400 between my modem and my PC) even though I have 16550 UARTs. I told
- him about the "COMnFIFO=On" lines I had put in my SYSTEM.INI, and he said
- that there's a bug/misfeature when using the keyword "On". According to the
- documentation he had, using any of the keywords "On", "Off", "True", or
- "False" would turn the FIFOs OFF! Supposedly, by default, if you don't
- have a "COMnFIFO" line at all, the FIFO will be turned on. However, just
- to make sure you can use "COMnFIFO=1". I haven't tried this yet (haven't
- had time!), but they guy I talked to seemed to know what he was talking
- about.
