  37. I had a problem very similar after installing the sound blaster drivers--
  38. MIDI worked fine, but when I went into Control Panel/Sound all the WAV file 
  39. listings were dimmed, and I could get no WAV playback. All of the drivers 
  40. listed above showed as installed in the Driver option.

  42. After digging, I found that there were copies of the various sound driver 
  43. files in both /Windows and /Windows/System, with _different dates_. I copied 
  44. the files with the later dates into _both_ directories (no Windows guru 
  45. here!) and presto! Everything now works fine. I don't know if this is a bug 
  46. in the SBPRO2 installation program or Windows.
