- I had a problem very similar after installing the sound blaster drivers--
- MIDI worked fine, but when I went into Control Panel/Sound all the WAV file
- listings were dimmed, and I could get no WAV playback. All of the drivers
- listed above showed as installed in the Driver option.
-
- After digging, I found that there were copies of the various sound driver
- files in both /Windows and /Windows/System, with _different dates_. I copied
- the files with the later dates into _both_ directories (no Windows guru
- here!) and presto! Everything now works fine. I don't know if this is a bug
- in the SBPRO2 installation program or Windows.
-
- Hope this works.
