- I am trying to find any product/idea/clue/etc. that will enable me to capture
- screen images of UNIX-based applications (character-mode) and then front-end
- them with a GUI screen, probably created via Visual Basic in MS Windows 3.1.
- This is sometimes referred to as "screen-scraping". The idea is that we should
- not have to modify any of the UNIX-based code for this to work. I know this
- can be done between IBM mainframes and DOS machines, with the help of a product
- called Transportal Pro. But that vendor doesn't have a comparable UNIX tool and
- couldn't recommend any ideas.
-
- We are using FTPs PCTCP to connect the DOS machines to the UNIX machines.
-
- Also, has anybody heard of MultiSoft, located in New Jersey, or of Software
- Strategies, located in England? Either of these companies may be able to help
- me, but I don't know how to get in touch with them.
-
- Any help with either of these questions will be greatly appreciated!
