  11. We just replaced an old PM2400SA (Practical Peripherals) external modem with
  12. a Gateway2000 TelePath internal modem. The modem works great: sends faxes,
  13. call BBS, but... The "but" is that we were unable to set it up for the main
  14. intended application - email/news via UUPC. With the old modem we used the
  15. script file HAYES24.MDM supplied with the software. TelePath is also supposedly
  16. Hayes-compatible, so we modified this file by adding a line "InSpeed=9600" to
  17. take advantage of the higher speed. No luck. Over the past 3 days the modem 
  18. connected only twice, each time transferring just a few files (out of many)
  19. and then stopping. Technical Support from Gateway2000, so far was not very
  20. supportive.
  21. Anybody who knows how to fix the problem, or thinks that he/she knows, please
