- I have 20 MB in my PC and have the same problem. As the original poster said,
- the resource being used up is the GDI resource segment (a 64 kB area of
- memory which "includes handles to device contexts, brushes, pens,
- regions and bitmaps. GDI is an abbreviation for graphics
- device interface, which provides the internal tools that
- applications use to present information visually." as quoted from the MS
- SYSMETER help file). Adding more ram will change nothing.
-
- I run out of GDI resources with 2 workbooks open, each with 6 fairly highly
- formatted spreadsheets in them <sigh>. MS's response is a warm commiseration
- and a promise to improve it in the next version.
