- I tried to send this, but it might be usefull to others so I decided to
- post it. This is my first post. It was asked "How to get apps. group
- windows back after reloading windows." I'm not an expert but I believe
- the following should be of use to determine if the apps. in question
- will have to be reloaded or not. 1) Since the apps. are still loaded
- on the system you could just create new group windows i.e. "excell4"
- and use new in the file menu to individually select each program. 2)
- A better way is to use windows setup from the main group and select
- setup applications search all or the drive(s) you installed the apps.
- and set them up this way. 3) Possibly the group information may still
- exist in the c:\windows or c:\windows\system dir's. Look for ami.grp,
- lotus.grp or maybe excell.grp. If you renamed thew groups to suit
- your tastes the group files may be listed as *(group name).grp. 4) You
- can also find that your groups are still there but just not active on-
- screen. Select windows menu and if there their click on it and the
- group should become active. Select more if available to search complete
- group list. P.S. In ref. to #3 above use new from file menu, select
- group, select browse, then search above dir's for .grp files, select
- file.grp, click ok, and window should be active. Comments welcome.
