  27.         OnTrack's DiskManager is capable of initializing (low-level
  28.         formatting) an IDE drive. As their commercial version (not the
  29.         one that comes with some hard drives) contains built-in specs
  30.         for hundreds of drives from different manufacturers, I'd say
  31.         it's able to format the IDE drives from different manufacturers
  32.         as well (I haven't upgraded to the latest version, yet, so this
  33.         is just based on a discussion with their sales rep on COMDEX a
  34.         few months ago).
