  12. I have a Vega Vram II video card hooked up along side an ATI 8514
  13. Ultra video card.  I am running X8514 so I'm not terribly bothered by
  14. this problem, but there are times I would like to use Text mode in
  15. other than 80x25 or 80x50 geometry.

  17. When I compile Linux to ask for which resolution I would like to use,
  18. It always defaults to another video card other than mine.  I once
  19. spent a few minutes trying to move the init code that test for my
  20. video card to the top of the code, but was not so successful in doing
  21. so, because even though I was given a proper list of geometries to
  22. chose from, I was not able to switch ot any of them.  This is probably
  23. do to the fact that the last video card checked for is the Vram II, so
  24. I was not successful in cutting and pasting the code elsewhere...

  26. Someday when I have time, I am going to go in and try to figure out
  27. why it doesn't work, but before I do, I would like to hear from others
  28. who may have, or may not have similiar problems with configurations
  29. similiar to mine...
