  13.   Thanks for the help.  I did ls -ld / as you suggested and then chmod 755 /
  14. I can't see what it did but it fixed the problem no more shell-init permission
  15. denied.  All the root directories had 755 permission so I don't see what
  16. changed.  Thanks again for the fix.
