  11. The program GRPHCA21.ZIP is an archive.  After extracting all
  12. files with PKUNZIP or an equivalent program , the following
  13. files should appear as part of the GRAPHICA package:

  15. GRAPHICA.UUE     uuencoded coherent v4.0 (executable)
  16. GRAPHICA.HLP     help file (ascii format-may be printed)
  17. README.1ST       quick instructions (this file)
  18. GRAPHICA.DOC     documentation
  19. REGISTER.DOC     contribution information
  20. HISTORY.DOC      log of latest changes
  21. EXAMPLES.ZIP     another archive containing example
  22.  
  23.    *.PLT         script files
  24.    *.DAT         data files
  25.  
  26. To use the program, simply copy the unzipped contents of this
  27. archive (all the files above) from the DOS side to the Coherent
  28. partition of your computer.  Run uudecode on graphica.uue and
  29. you have a Coherent executable of GRAPHICA v2.1 called graphica.

  31. At this point in time, there are no graphics-I haven't gotten
  32. those COHWARE libraries for VGA yet!  But you can get hpgl or
  33. postscript output and send them to a plotter or printer.
  34.  
  35. Remember you can copy all the files with the DOSCP command.
  36. Also, make sure that graphica.hlp as well as all the example
  37. script and data files are copied with CRLF to LF translation
  38. (DOS to UNIX).

  40. For a quick demonstration of GRAPHICA's main capabilities, run
  41. GRAPHICA and then load some of the sample script files (*.PLT).
  42. For example,
  43.  
  44.       $ graphica (press return)
  45.       graphica>load 'demo.plt' (press return)
  46.  
  47. Alternatively, command-line arguments may be names of files
  48. containing GRAPHICA commands.  Then, for example,
  49.  
  50.       $ graphica demo.plt (press return)
  51.  
  52. is another way of running the demo above.
