  22. 2. /conf/patch -v /coherent VTVGA=0:c VTMONO=0:c
  23. 3. enable "console" and disable all devices like "color0", "color1"...
  24.    and "mono0", "mono1"... in /etc/ttys.
  25. 4. sync and reboot

  27. I *really* would suggest to create a emergency boot disk before you do that.
  28. If you don't have a terminal connected to a serial port and you do something
  29. wrong you can't login anymore!
