- There is a program that uucico always calls to (re)enable the port when
- it is done. Unfortunately, it does this no matter whether the port was
- enabled when it started or not. The end result is that no matter the origional
- status, the port is set to enabled by uucico when it done.
- I think the program is called "enable" or some such (Coherent system is
- at home and I'm doing this from memory). If you run a tight ps loop and watch
- uucico cleaning up, you'll find this program name pop up in the process list
- for a few seconds (that's how I found it).

- My solution was to replace it with a shell script that returns success
- and does nothing else. Kind of a crude solution, but uucico wasn't being very
- elegent to begin with. Unfortunately, this "fix" will affect *all* ports that
- you run uucico on.
