  12. The ksh which is distributed with Coherent is acceptable but not
  13. complete (at least the way I know ksh).  I seriously miss the
  14. the following features:

  16.     o    vi editting mode
  17.     o    ^Z, fg, bg for job control
  18.     o    variable substitution using ${i%%pattern} or ${i##pattern}
  19.  
  20. Is anyone aware of a replacement shell which provides these capabilities?
  21. Is the source for the ksh Coherent ships available?  In the 286 manual the
  22. discussion of ksh says that part of it was excluded due to the memory
  23. restrictions of small model.
