  39. The assumption here is that the samples will be used as-is and with
  40. precious little manipulation, or other editing.

  42. I think the marketplace will decide if this kind of music will catch on
  43. or if originality will retain the (low) level of importance it currently
  44. has (BTW I favor the creation of new sampling laws to permit free use of
  45. small portions of copyrighted audio recordings in non-commercial works).
  46. I'm not too interested in the sampling CDs because I only like to sample
  47. voices and sound effects and the occasional stray note.

  49. If someone can put together interesting and creative music using only
  50. a couple sample CDs, then more power to him.
