- One thing that people seem to have missed is that sampling has the potential
- to revolutionise the way some of us think about session musicians. Already
- there are sample CDs available (e.g. Dave Ruffy's Dance etc, Zero-G Funk
- Guitar) which have a large number of performances by the musician ready
- for sampling and inclusion in your own music.

- It looks to me that if this spreads the consequences are important

- (1) Even amateurs will be able to legally include performances by top
- musicians in their recordings. Higher quality recordings

- (2) If studios and other professionals lean towards this, the demand for
- quality studio musicians will drop.

- (3) It's bad enough that many records have almost the same riffs etc on them
- now. If session musician sample CDs spread, it's going to be more so.
