  27. This one and a half day workshop will bring together researchers
  28. contributing to the rapidly evolving, new field of concurrent
  29. constraint programming.  CCP builds on ideas from constraint logic
  30. programming and concurrent logic programming.  Major landmarks in its
  31. short history are Maher's ALPS, Saraswat's ask and tell framework, and
  32. Haridi and Janson's Andorra Kernel Language.  Work on all aspects of
  33. CCP is of interest to the workshop, including theoretical foundations,
  34. language designs, particular constraint systems, implementation
  35. techniques, parallel architectures, particular implementations,
  36. programming methodology, and interesting applications.

  38. The workshop program will be selected by the following committee:
  39. Alain Colmerauer (Marseille), Seif Haridi (Kista), Hugo Montanari
  40. (Pisa), Gert Smolka (Saarbr"ucken).  A report containing the extended
  41. abstracts of the accepted presentations will be available at the
  42. workshop.
