  16. Basically, for two reasons:
  17.  
  18.    1)    PostScript does not have any features that require reading the page
  19.     framebuffer.  You can write to the framebuffer all you want, but you
  20.     can't read it.  This is presumably for portability reasons.
  21.  
  22.    2)    Flood fill may give radically different results, depending on the
  23.     resolution of the display device.  Regions which are closed on a
  24.     low-res device, such as a display screen, may be open on higher
  25.     resolution laser printers, etc.  Vice is also versa.
