  17. It is a good point, but I would say that the likely number of the
  18. people who do *not* know the answers is much more relevant.  One of
  19. the purposes of this newsgroud is giving and exchanging information
  20. to enhance the genral level of know-how about Pascal in its various
  21. renditions (most often Turbo Pascal).  The main idea is not the
  22. "spare" the majority users from seeing things they already know.

  24. We have also take into account that there are tens of thousands of
  25. readers in the newsgroups, which means that if the question is not
  26. totally trivial there usually is some general interest for any
  27. relevant question.  (The readership tally is published in news.lists
  28. monthly, but I do not recall the figures for comp.lang.pascal).  It
  29. is quite usual that the readers may not come to thing how
  30. extensively the newsgroups are read.
