  28. I refer to the above problem I posted some days back. My friend is
  29. using Digital's Vax Vms Pascal.  I had several replies offering 
  30. solutions using Turbo pascal. Thanks guys. Sorry I didn't give the
  31. above info earlier. If any of you are familiar with the digtal's
  32. vms pascal, perhaps you could drop me some probable solutions.

  34. Which brings me to my next problem. Nothing on pascal at all actually.
  35. I'm new here (as you can see from my address above, I'm just a 
  36. "Vacation Student" at HP (vacation indeed...). I'm currently 
  37. at Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) and doing my Industrial
  38. attachment now). Anyway, I've only been playing around with "notes"
  39. (or "news" whatever you call it) for a week or so and pretty green
  40. about it.

  42. I just had a look at notes at my friend's place yesterday(she's
  43. modeming from home) and discovered that her index page for comp.lang.pascal
  44. (and other news groups as well) were filled with lots of messages
  45. while mine (believe it or not) still only contains a single 
  46. message, which was what I posted on 13 Jan("Prob: Single character inputs").
  47. On my friend's notes, it was indicated that I had 1 response. However
  48. over here, there's no indication at all and no other new messages.
  49. Is it because i get limited access to all the messages posted from
  50. around the world? Or is it because my server here does not allow
  51. certain things to pass through? Perhaps someone can tell me or refer
  52. me to a newsgroup from which I can get more information regarding
  53. these matters.

  55. As far as my above pascal problem is concerned, I've received replies which
  56. went directly to my mail and thus I have no problem receiving and
  57. reading them. As such, please mail/reply any further messages to my
  58. above address, until I can find out why I cannot receive the bulk of
  59. messages or responses. Thanks again folks.
