  12. I use PV-Wave to analyze geophysical data and often wish there were
  13. a simple way to overlay AutoCad information such as rivers, roads,
  14. buildings, etc., on top of a PV-Wave image such as produced by
  15. image_cont.  I have a quick-and-dirty filter that strips polylines
  16. out of an AutoCad dxf file and writes a file I can overplot with
  17. oplot.  Unfortunately, I lose all text information as well as more
  18. complicated graphical objects such as symbols, ellipses, circles, etc.

  20. Has anyone written a more sophisticated filter?  How about going the
  21. other way: read a PV-Wave image into Acad v10?  Any public domain 
  22. graphical editors that let me take an PV-Wave cgm or tiff file and 
  23. and text, lines, boxes, etc., would be useful as well, but I would
  24. still have to recreate all the information in the AutoCad drawing.
