  14. I would like to learn the APL2 language and am looking for recommendations
  15. on a good book to buy.  I would prefer a book that does not assume I will
  16. be using one particular computer system.  I would also prefer a book that
  17. does not waste time trying to teach me programming:  I want to learn the
  18. LANGUAGE, not how important it is to write "structured programs."  :-)
  19. (Especially because I'll mostly be maintaining code rather than writing it.)

  21. If it matters, I will be using APL2 1.3.0 on an IBM 3090 with a Mac running
  22. Brown tn3270 as my terminal.  However, I will eventually be using STSC
  23. APL on a PC, which is why I prefer the book to be non-system-specific.
