  17. I can agree with these comments... We have to be careful everytime when
  18. using or introducing old/new GIS terms. Also, GIS terminology is changing
  19. permanently based on new research and methodological developments.

  21. Some days (weeks) ago I mentioned an American firm (Data West Research
  22. Agency) which has advertised

  25.    (A glossary of GIS terms)

  27. as a 460+ pp. reference book containing over 5500 definitions
  28. used by GIS user community. Unfortunately, only a POB address
  29. in FederalWay, WA  was given. My question is:
  30. - does anybody know of this 1993 edition ?
  31. - do exist there any other earlier editions of that guide?
  32. - can somebody comment here on GIS-L the content, standard references etc.

  35. At least, USGS has provided me with the very new "Manual of Federal
  36. Geographic Data Products" (January 1993)... its a very useful info
  37. source for GIShoppers...! Thanks to colleagues at USGS-NC Reston !
