- I don't know if you've already solved your problem (the summasketch), but I was
- having exactly the same problem (although with a SUmmasketch II). It didn't
- help at all when I swapped ports, etc., and the .DIG file was set to the
- proper port. The way I finally managed to get the thing running was this:
- -I changed the reset string in the .DIG file to 000
- -I had to SEND (with the SUMMA utility) /Czazr (set to ascii/ignore resets)
-
- This threw me for awhile, because if you look at the output in KERMIT, its
- ASCII, but it doesn't look like anything but garbage (although I was able to
- fine the button numbers in the mess). You should have output in KERMIT
- _only_ when you press a cursor button.
-
- I was also having a problem getting an old SUMMASKETCH Professional (no manual,
- and from a swap meet...and ther's not even a power indicator!). This pad
- seems to work in TOSCA if you:
- -install the summa Tablet driver
- -SEND /M/O/Cza
- -unistall the tablet driver
-
- DON'T ask me me why it works, both these solutions were basically the product
- ofbanging my head on various blunt objects nearby, but I can get both these
- pads to work consistantly on out machines (286/386) without any major problems.
-
- Also, in case anyone missed it:
- -You can Email Idrisi at IDRISI@clarku.edu
- -I guess there's a Mail list at MAILSERV@towsonvx.bitnet?
-
- good luck (if you still need it..)
