  31. The Faculty is seeking to appoint a person with an outstanding record of
  32. research and scholarship to the established Chair of Geography from 1st
  33. September 1993.

  35. The Department of Geography is one of the largest in the UK with an
  36. established and successful programme of both undergraduate and post-
  37. graduate courses. The person appointed will be expected to provide
  38. strong academic leadership, particularly in the promotion and enhancement
  39. of an already well-developed culture of research and consultancy.
