- If both of your coverages are in the ARC/INFO format there should be
- no problem in overlaying the two in ARCPLOT. For example, if they are
- both polygon files you could say:
-
- POLYS coverage1
- POLYS coverage2
-
- ARCPLOT will draw the polygons from the first coverage and then the polygons
- of the second coverage (you might want to change the linecolor between the
- two). You can zoom-in and zoom-out using the MAPSCALE command. Since
- everything is georeferenced, if you clear the screen and do the POLYS commands
- again, both coverages will be drawn at the new scale.
-
- I am assuming that all of this is being done in one ARCPLOT window. It
- is possible to do these kinds of things (zoom-in, etc) in two ARCPLOT
- windows (except transparent overlaying of two windows) but it is a little
- more advanced and, perhaps, is best done in an AML (a user created ARC/INFO
- procedure). I am not sure if I have answered your question. If you need
- more info send me some mail.
-
- Good luck,
