- The data is public domain, so if you can find someone willing to give
- it to you, you're in business. If not, you can always call USGS at
- 1-800-USA-MAPS and request an index map and documentation of the DEM
- formats. If you only buy one DEM, it costs something like $40, but if
- you buy a bunch, the cost for each additional one goes down to $7.
