- Greetings. I have access to 3D-Studio here on
- a couple of campus machines and have managed to
- produce some pretty stunning still images.
- Some of these have been logos, and what not, for
- pseudo-clients of mine.
-
- Recently, though, I was asked if I could do a
- simple animation of one of the logos. It's
- pretty straightforward, or so I thought, just
- having the logo stay in place but rotating
- about its own imaginary y-axis. (Does that make
- sense? I know I've got the terminology wrong)
- I've spent many hours, frustrating ones, trying
- to accomplish this, seemingly simple, task.
- Unfortunately, I really don't have the background
- to understand how tracks and keys work together.
-
- I've been capable of moving the camera about the
- object, but I need a stationary camera, and a
- fixed rotating object.
-
- Can any kind soul out there, who knows the answers
- to these questions _please_ help me out?
-
- Any sort of tutorial is welcome.
-
- Thanks, much, in advance.
